It's Monday morning and I am off today YEAH! My daughter is still in bed and the men have left the building; QUIET time.

As I dragged myself out of bed this morning the only thing I could think of was CAFE. I needed a fix but not just your regular "perc" coffee; this is an Italian espresso cafe kind of morning. Don’t get me wrong, “perc” is good on most mornings, but when I want to pamper myself, it has to be my cup of Lavazza Crema e Gusto; it clears the cobwebs and leaves you all warm and fuzzy inside.

 Whilst admiring my cup of coffee and wondering if I should blog about it, I realized that although not a recipe per se, there was still a lot to be said about coffee. Like I mentioned earlier, today was not your run of the mill percolator coffee kind of morning; not that there is anything wrong with percolated coffee. I realized I have a different kind of coffee craving for different occasions. Mornings, it’s either perc or espresso and evenings it’s usually cafe con leche.  I have been drinking cafe con leche since I was a child. I think it’s a Latino thing; my mama is Peruvian. Cup of warm milk, a teaspoon of instant coffee and some azucar (sugar)…heaven!

 As you can probably deduce, I have a thing for coffee; like most adults no doubt. So what is your idea of a heavenly cup?
